You may have heard a lot of talk about antioxidants and know in a general sense that they're good for your health. Or have taken either Vitamin C or E supplements in the past.
However, few people know what they are or how they work.
What are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are molecules that fight free radicals in your body.
We can get most of our antioxidants from our diet, or make them from the nutrients in our diet. We must include some such as Vitamin C in our diet as we don't have the capacity to make them ourselves.
During everyday life, we produce free radicals from our diet, from normal metabolism and exposure to toxins in the air we breathe. These free radicals need to be neutralised and this is where antioxidants come in. In the process of neutralisation (i.e. the free radicals become weak), the antioxidants become oxidised themselves. And it's glutathione's job to give them back their power by recycling them, including Vitamins and E. If we run out of antioxidants these free radicals will progressively destroy our cells, tissue, and ultimately our health.
For glutathione, it is so important that each cell in our body makes its own supply. The problem is as we age and when we become ill, our bodies lose the capacity to make enough Glyteine to meet our glutathione needs for protection against oxidative stress. On occasions when we get exposed to excesses of toxins from the environment, our diet or from exercise, we overwhelm our capacity to make enough Glyteine.
In summary, antioxidants are what help keep our health in balance and in check, and without adequate supplies of them, our health can be at risk of suffering.
Why are they essential for overall wellbeing?
Now that we've covered off what antioxidants are, it's important for us to let you in on all the reasons why they're essential for your overall wellbeing. The one you need to have your focus on above all is glutathione and Glyteine. You make all the others or they're in your diet and you don't need supplements.
There's a lot of talk about the benefits of antioxidants, but the truth is often masked. Understanding the role of Glyteine will give you bragging rights as you understand how its capacity to replenish glutathione levels is key to good health.
Antioxidants can assist with, but not limited to:
- Fighting free radicals
- Oxidative stress support
- Mental health
- Brain health
- Healthy aging
- Exercise
- Training recovery
- Eye health
We think it's safe to say that Glyteine is indeed essential for your overall well-being and assisting with feeling your best every day!
How does Continual-G help with increasing your antioxidants?
Continual-G helps increase your glutathione levels in your body. Known as the master antioxidant, glutathione is responsible for powering other minor antioxidants to relieve oxidative stress.
As our natural production of glutathione declines, and it becomes more difficult to fend off illness, recover and think clearly, Continual-G steps in with Glyteine – the only way to achieving real increased cellular glutathione.
